Cardiothoracic Surgery

Are you looking to work at a Nationally recognized Best Places to Work? Here at Piedmont Heart Institute, we are looking for a BC/BE Cardiothoracic Surgeon for our Piedmont Macon location. We are looking for a team member to support a high volume, complex, patient care program that will provide excellent service with outcome-driven robust cardiovascular options.
Ideal candidate will be able to perform all the following surgeries including, but not limited to:

• coronary artery bypass grafting
• complex open valvular surgery
• transcatheter valve therapies

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of medicine
• Completion of Cardiothoracic Fellowship and MUST BE Board Certified in Thoracic Surgery
• Ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience of both cardiac and thoracic surgeries
• Expertise needed in Cardiac CT and Cardiac MR (MRAs)

Is a 310-bed regional medical center and one of only four hospitals within the Piedmont system providing adult cardiac surgery services. The cardiovascular program offers comprehensive care including structural heart procedures, electrophysiology services, interventional cardiology, and non-invasive cardiology. The thoracic surgery program serves as a key referral resource for the region and continues to expand its services and capabilities.
